Since his childhood, Rodrigo Almeida showed his passion for music.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he began his musical studies in keyboard when

he was 6. When he was 13, he started to study electric guitar with Maestro Ricardo Simões. At age of 17, he began his classical guitar classes with Paulo Porto Alegre at Municipal School of Music in Sao Paulo and after with Henrique Pinto. He got his Bachelor Degree at Carlos Gomes Music College, São Paulo (BRA).​​    

     In 2013 received his Performance Diploma Degree from Jacobs School of Music (IN) under the guitarist Ernesto Bitetti's orientation.

     In 2015 he finished his Master in Performance at Marshall University (WV) under professor Dr. Julio Ribeiro Alves' orientation.

     As a soloist, has performed in many important cities in South America, USA, and Europe. He is also frequently requested for master classes and lectures regarding Latin American Music.

   Always looking for new ideas and techniques, he played for important guitarist such as Pablo Sainz Villegas (SPA), Nora Buschman (GER), Fabio Zanon (BRA), Eliot​ Fisk, Adam Holzman (USA) and Zoran Krajisnik (SER). ​

    As an important role for professional musicians is the opportunity to teach and spread their knowledge. Rodrigo Almeida has more than 15 years of experience teaching classical, pop, rock, and jazz guitar aiming always the musicianship, technique, performance, and ensemble notions.
